Triangle Rubber Company uses it's Design and R&D capabilities to develop solutions to customer problems. DESIGN:
Triangle uses AutoCad R14 to design tooling for customer supplied drawings. It is also used to make design recommendations for our customers. We can accept information in many formats, such as CD's, tapes, disc and zip drives. We also pull customer part information directly from e-mails or FTP. Prior to starting any tooling, our design team, made up of staff from all process levels, reviews the tool design as well as part design. Part design is reviewed as to its function, moldability, and downline processing, as well as material fitness for use.
If you have a part in mind, but are not sure of the final design, let us take a look at it. We will be glad to review it and make recommendations. R&D: R&D at Triangle is composed of material development and selection, prototyping ideas and investigating processes and machinery to produce the part. This approach takes time and money out of the production process.
Our laboratory and two resident engineered chemists, aid in the material development and selection process. Using our database of existing rubber compounds, we can quickly meet the requirements of a new application. Lab facilities include Rheometer MDR, tensometer,
aging ovens, oil baths, low temperature chambers,
2 lab mills, and laboratory presses. Prototyping is done sometimes at the customer request and sometimes at Triangle Rubber's discretion. CAD systems can bring a part close to the requirements, but usually verification is needed through production of a prototype part. This prototyping can usually be accomplished in one to two weeks. Let Triangle Rubber take a look at prototyping your parts for you! |
