Exterior Mirror Bezels
Mirror bezels are crucial to the exterior mirrors of vehicles. They are both cosmetic features and functional and protective parts that prevent moisture from getting to the mirror’s electrical components. Triangle Rubber has plenty of experience molding these parts according to customer designs, including the typical single-shot grained mirror bezels and two-shot, high-gloss black mirror bezels.
Mirror Bottom and Base Covers
Similar to bezels, Triangle Rubber also offers plastic molding of bottom and base covers for exterior automotive mirrors necessary to fulfill cosmetic, functional, and protective requirements. We also offer single-shot grained molding and two-shot, high-gloss black molding options for bottom and base covers. Our expertise can handle even the most technically challenging parts to mold.
Base Seals
We have capabilities for single-shot and two-shot molding of base seals for exterior automotive applications, which can typically be complicated to produce using two-shot injection molding. In this process, a hard first shot is injected into the tool. Then, it rotates so that the softer second shot, typically a soft TPE, can be injected to seal base covers and vehicle sheet metal.
Cutline Seals
Triangle Rubber has two-shot molding equipment for molding plastic cutline seals. Similar to the process of manufacturing base seals, we use a hard initial shot to create the structure and then a soft TPE shot to create the seal ribs. This creates a quality component that seals air flow and prevents wind noise during vehicle operation.
Shell Brackets for Exterior Mirrors
Shell brackets are structural brackets to which all of the internal parts of the exterior mirrors are mounted. While simpler in structure than other parts, they are a vital component for any automotive exterior mirror.
