Latch Components

Triangle Rubber & Plastics offers quality molding solutions for all sorts of latch and lock components, housings, and dampeners for automotive applications. We have decades of experience working with this market, and our team will ensure that you receive quality, durable products so that you can ensure your customers’ satisfaction.

Latch And Lock Component Housings

Housings are a critical part of latches and locks, not only protecting the internal assembly from the environment but also holding everything together. We are experts in the automotive industry, providing quality housings for vehicle door latches, locks, and related components. Our thermoplastic facilities are equipped with single-shot and two-shot plastic molding equipment, accommodating a wide range of enclosure designs, and we have plenty of experience in manufacturing these housings.

For example, in applications that require two-shot molding, our team will mold soft seals around the outer edges of the housing. Once the two halves are assembled, this creates a water seal, producing an excellent housing for the vehicle’s exterior latches.

Internal Mechanical Parts for Latch Assemblies

Plastic housings aren’t the only component we manufacture for automotive latch assemblies. We also meet the plastic molding needs for any internal parts of the latch. These kinematic parts are used to actuate either a lock or a latch component, and precise positioning is critical for the proper function of the latch. Whether it’s plastic gears, levers, or cams, Triangle can mold these components to your specifications.

Quality Rubber Dampeners for Automotive Locks

In addition to plastic components for vehicle latches and locks, our Rubber Molding Division also accommodates rubber dampeners to be integrated into latch assemblies. These small rubber bumpers are placed inside the latch assemblies, which kinematic parts rest against, assisting with noise reduction. We maintain an extensive inventory of materials, plastics, and rubbers alike, which allows us to meet any unique design specifications you might require. And if you aren’t sure what material best suits your applications, our team will work with you to determine the best material to meet your assembly’s needs.
